Drivers Benefit from New Cockpit Cooling

The most obvious visual modifications were made to front end.

The intercooler exit ducts no longer exhaust through an opening in the bonnet, because at very low speeds and under unfavourable wind conditions the intercooler air flowed into the roof inlet and increased the temperature in the water coolers mounted beneath the rear section of the vehicle roof.

The hot air exiting the intercoolers is now ducted through the wheel arches and a tunnel under the vehicle. The driver and co-driver also benefit from a new cockpit cooling system. Because dirt entered previously when driving in a pack, the air is now scavenged completely by fan through a filter.
